Our Staff

You will feel the warmth of our friendly team as soon as you enter one of our rooms. Our experienced manager and well qualified staff will try and put you at ease from the very first day, and will be dedicated to ensuring that your child settles happily into nursery life.
The staff are always welcoming and happy to see any one of the children who walk through the door. They always try to be on hand to answer any questions or queries that you may have or take on board any suggestions or feedback that you want to give about the room, the staff or the nursery as a whole.

Our Partnership with Parents

Our relationship with you, the parents and carers of the children, is especially important to us here at Tangent House Day Nursery; after all you are your child’s first and most important teacher. We believe that children benefit greatly when practitioners and parents work together to provide them with the best possible outcomes in their earliest years, which is why we more than welcome your ideas, information and thoughts about the best ways to move forward with your child.

The EYFS, Education and Wellbeing

Some of the parents joining our nursery will already have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and to others it will be the first time they have heard the phrase. The EYFS is a statutory framework for all registered early years settings. The overarching aim of the EYFS is to help young children achieve the five ‘Every Child Matters’ outcomes of: being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and achieving economic well-being. At Tangent House Day Nursery we are committed to ensuring that we actively promote these 5 outcomes for all children in our care.

Extracts from our “Good” Ofsted report include:

“Children settle quickly when they arrive…Children continue to be happy throughout the day. Children of all ages show high levels of confidence… Staff have high expectations of children and offer them praise and encouragement for their achievements.”

“The nursery environment is stimulating and rich with resources and displays that capture the children’s interests…Staff work well with parents… Staff help to promote children’s physical development and good health.”
